WEEK FIVE: ELLE + ELMO

Me and Elmo, how can I not resist?

Although my favorite Sesame Street characters are Bert and Ernie, Elmo is in the top five! I couldn’t resist taking a picture with this cute red furball!

WEEK FOUR: HAPPY FLAGS

Week three: Wave those happy flags

This was taken a few weeks ago at a condo near Thomson! It was a very hot afternoon~ I even forgot to put the camera on the correct setting and flash went off!

Have a great and happy week!

WEEK THREE: FEIFEI AND PUIPUI

fei

This is an instax taken by Feifei who calls me Puipui, which basically just means that we’re both FAT! Feifei is one of the people I have become closer to this past year, and with seeing each other almost everyday I feel so happy having her in my life. We both like to eat and we’re so comfortable that sometimes we shed our ladylike image and become total barbarians ( I kid!) when it comes to food. Yes, we bond over food a lot!

Here’s to Feifei! My eating-in-an-unglam way partner!

[ i n s t a x ] week two: bougainvillea

WEEK TWO:BOUGAINVILLEA

BougainvilleaThis is actually first of four instax pictures where I noticed that my photo-taking skills were improving and I had enough presence of mind to change the settings before pressing the button. I know it may seem a basic skill to many, but you guys don’t know how many pieces of film I wasted just because I got the settings all wrong! Such painful and expensive mistakes to commit but let’s just chalk it all up to experience shall we?

I love Bougainvilleas because it was the most abundant flower (aside from the hibiscus) that can be seen in my neighborhood. It brings me wonderful memories. I like how the leaves fool you into thinking they are the real flowers, when I was a kid it really fascinated me.

I like this shot a lot even if I had to assume a very awkward position just to frame things. You probably can’t tell but I love having the sky in my shots, I can wax philosophical about this but right now I’m too tired … HA!

Have a great day folks!

[ i n s t a x ] week one: sayon

WEEK ONE: YOSHITOMO NARA’S SAYON

Yoshitomo Nara Instax

One of Yoshitomo Nara’s paintings that were featured during the Trans-Cool Tokyo Exhibit during the early part of this year. There’s something about his sassy looking girls that I’m drawn too. This is one of the first instax pictures I have taken.

I’m kinda bending my own rules here if you noticed. I realize that there are weeks where I can take a lot of interesting instax pictures and there are weeks that nothing exciting comes up. But I do promise that from now on, I will post an instax photo weekly.

Hope everyone’s having a great day!
